The case is Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests, Inc. (SNAP) v. Joyce, and it concerns a New Jersey statute that prohibits behavior that:
1. “[i]ntentionally and unreasonably disturbs … or disquiets” a house of worship through
2. “profane discourse [and] rude or indecent behavior”
3. “so near [the house of worship] as to disturb the order and solemnity of the worship services.”
We wrote the brief on behalf of the Thomas More Society. The post at the Volokh Conspiracy announcing the filing is here, and a full-text pdf of the brief is available here.
