Illustrating Cell Phone Location Tracking Data
The ALCU's Jay Stanley has an interesting article on how cell phone location information can be organized and analyzed in order to reveal highly personal information. A few examples the ACLU gives of information the government can derive include: who a cell phone customer is in a relationship with, whether that customer is in a union, and whether that customer exhibits driving patterns consistent with driving under the influence of alcohol.
